YEAH! Fixin' up Burgerville

Our club's mascots and the donation barrel

YEAH - Youth Efforts Against Hunger. Last year, if you recall, saw us Coderlambian editors volunteering at the Burgerville at Fisher's Landing (along with the rest of the club). The Burgerville chain had generously decided to give a portion of their profits to the YEAH program, as long as a 4-H or FFA club was present, helping serve and wave signs (to see last year's post, click here). This year, Burgerville not only is fundraising again, but raising the stakes!

For one thing, if you make a $5 or 5 cans (of non-perishable food items) between March 17th and 30th, you get a free milkshake coupon, to be used at a later date. Second, on the night of the 27th of this month, between 4:30 and 7:30, at the Vancouver Mall Burgerville, 10% of the proceeds go to the YEAH program (click to see what YEAH is). On the said night, our 4-H club, Elite Livestock, will be busing tables and waving signs at the Vancouver Mall's Burgerville.

But of course, we had to decorate before the event got started. So the Coderlambian editors and a couple other shepherds from our 4-H club went out today to decorate with posters, balloons, streamers, etc...here are a few pictures before we move on.

Burgerville is not only supporting the YEAH program with its generosity, but also providing an award to the 4-H/FFA club that brings in the most customers on its night. For a club like Elite Livestock, there were too many of us for one night. Therefore, we split into two groups, and will be at the Vancouver Mall's Burgerville on two nights. (Sadly, we don't total the customers from both nights, but we get to choose which night counts for us). If you would like to support YEAH, Burgerville, and us, come on the 27th, between 4:30 and 7:30.
So, in summary. Burgerville is being generous with its resources, and will be making a large donation to the YEAH program, which provides food for the local food bank. This generosity includes 10% of its proceeds at any Burgerville, if there is a 4-H/FFA club on sight, and providing a milkshake coupon for those who donate $5 or 5 cans of non-perishable foods between the 17th and the 31st. We will be at the Vancouver Mall's Burgerville on the 27th (betwixt 4:30 and 7:30).
